Wonderful

The owner is great in communication and when helped us on early luggage dropoff.

Bathroom is a little bit small. Also the room temperature is a little bit too warm to our liking.

Exceptional

The property belongs to a friendly couple, so it is kind of like a homestay. They kept in touch to make sure to catch us when we arrived to help us with the luggage. The small garden at the porch was beautiful. Floor heating was a saviour during the winter months. Room was very spacious and we could leave our two large luggages open in the room throughout our stay. Very near to the Palace and other cafes in anguk. We went to the famous onion cafe anguk branch multiple times because of the proximity.

Toilet was a bit small but it is sufficient. There is also no TV but we were too tired when we came back from exploring anyway so we just slept.

Nice location, traditional hanok, minimalistic but comfortable

Very nice location, extremely central in the beautiful Bukchon area, yet very calm. The house is a traditional Hanok, as expected. Very small but very typical. We were warmly welcomed by the host sister who explained us everything.

Nothing much. As it is a hanok, it is very minimalistic in terms of comfort and amenities but it was comfortable and clean and the price value ratio was good. I can recommend it!

Well located, silent neighborhood.

Owner upon receiving confirmation send a very detailed explanation (map+pictures)on how to reach. Also cared about estimated arrival time, very nice and thoughtful! Owner’s wife waited for us at the door for greeting us and explain+introduce us the place.

Minor tiny disadvantage is the bathroom size, I’m short and petite so no problem but for taller and curvier build person might be inconvenient.

Lovely experience in an authentic hanok

If you want an authentic experience in a traditional setting with kind and caring welcome, this is the place for you. Patrick was most helpful and made all explanations easy. The house is superb, well located and there is a small shared kitchen. A good value for money for backpackers. The area is super quiet thanks to customers respecting the house rules.

The shower above the sink inside the toilet. I misunderstood the photos on the advertisment. The futon is really hard, but I understand this is part of the experience and it was fine for one night.

Definetly recomend

Lovely house, everything super clean and Patrick was waiting for me when I arrive, even helped my with the luggage. Felt very safe and the location is excelent, close to the villages and the palaces, wish I had stay there another night.

Lovely host and amazing breakfasts

Hard to find - taxi driver dropped me in wrong place but once I found it (with the help of lovely Korean) I found the access to everything great! Between the two palaces and 5minute walk to metro and more

Patrick and Family were great. Loved the location and authentic feel. They went above the regular rental owners duty t

It’s in a very nice neighborhood. Lots is cute local shops but also close to food and other necessities. Close to bus and train stops. Taxies are very reasonable and accessible in Seoul.

After the end of day of sightseeing sometimes the walk to property seemed longer than it is. But not really a problem and also taxied back one day which made it really easy. Just make sure you have the property name and address in Korean.

Nice experience!

The host, Patrick, is very friendly and helpful. He makes us feel at home right at the moment we enter the house. He goes the extra mile to help us with the directions, what and where to buy for gifts, or even supplies us with the ice gel to store our medicines. The room is a little small for 3 adults; but it’s the traditional design of every hanok plus the place is very clean and tidy. The neighborhood is wonderful. We can spend hours exploring every single corner of the region without feeling bored or tired. The next time I visit Seoul, I’ll definitely stay at this house again.

It was an enriching experience to stay in a traditional Korean lodging.

The neighbourhood was great, and it was an unique experience for us staying in a hanok.

The room was very small, and the futon beds were rather thin. The breakfast provided was average.

Patrick was wonderful!

Patrick was wonderful! His breakfasts were very tasty and as a Korean who grew up eating amazing food cooked by a talented mother I know my Korean food. The room was plenty big for me. Patrick was kind enough to give me a ride to catch the airport bus. Thanks, Patrick!

The host couple is super nice and helpful!

The host couple is super nice and helpful!! They prepare traditional Korean style breakfast every morning and it’s very delicious^^ the room is clean, the floor heating is very warm and comfortable in winter, and the place is very quite and has convenient stores nearby. After all it is a very unforgettable Hanok experience in this trip!

Delightful experience

The owners, Patrick and his wife, are super hospitable. They cooked me delicious traditional Korean breakfast daily, gave me heat pack for the cold day, and helped me call for taxi wherever/whenever I needed one. The heated floor was AMAZING and the room was kept nice and warm. It was most ideal for winter's 0°C temperature during my visit.

The paper on the door can use some patching. That will help safeguard privacy for female solo traveler.

Great little Hanok with friendly hosts

Hosts were really helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was nice and the location was authentic.

Ondol( heated flooring) was really hot. Other guests on the same night were really noisy and it made it challenging to settle down for the night.
